Prayer Starter - Saturday, May 31, 2025 If God is For Us, Who Can Be Against Us?

Good Saturday Morning, Today is a good time to ask God to prepare our hearts and minds for worship with our church family tomorrow.  This is also our second day this weekend we will pray for boldness. Romans 8: 31  What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?   32  He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Lord, Why am I so often shy, or even embarrassed? I know Your word. I want a relationship with You that will accept Your grace in all things. I know You will protect me. Help my faith to trust You and speak and shine in boldness for You. Continue your prayer... See you tomorrow in service. God Bless you as He strengthens your faith to be live boldly for Him.

Prayer Starter - Friday, May 30, 2025 Whom shall I fear?

Good Friday Morning, This weekend we are going to pray prayers for boldness and prayers for strength to share our faith. Read  Psalm 27  The first verse reads: The   Lord   is my light   and my salvation—      whom shall I fear? The   Lord   is the stronghold   of my life— Holy Father in Heaven, I want to be Your servant, Your disciple. I know that means You are my stronghold and I shall not fear. But I often fail. Please help me to be strong; to be bold in my salvation.  Help me to not fear those that challenge me or discourage me. May Your Spirit help me to be strong and bold. In Jesus Name, Amen *** You may always email prayer requests to:  prayerstarter@gmail.com or reply to this text. I will post prayer request   here .

Good Morning! David was a man after God’s own heart, and though he was not perfect, he sought God’s heart on most  matters. David also relied on trusted advisors such as Samuel, for he knew Samuel knew God. It even says in  1 Samuel 3:19  that, “not one of Samuel’s words would fall” which means that Samuel was in tune with God (Samuel had discernment) Proper discernment can come in various forms, but having a praying relationship with God strengthens one's ability to discern God's will. God, Our Father - We thank You for this day. Father, You are the same today as You were yesterday, and as You are tomorrow. Since the beginning of mankind, You sought to have a relationship with Your creation, to instruct us in the way that we ought to go. Father, today we pray for discernment. We pray that the Your Holy Spirit dwells within us to give us a peace beyond understanding & to know precisely when something is You, and when something is not.  Lord, we want to...

Good Morning, friends! Phil 4:4  Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!   5  Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.   6  Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.   7  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.   Read the whole chapter.  My favorite verse is 19,  And my God will meet all your needs  according to the riches of his glory  in Christ Jesus. v20,  To our God and Father  be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Paul preached and prayed throughout his message.  Dear Lord,  I continue to rejoice in the knowledge I have that You provide for me.  I need to learn to relax and not be anxious because You care for me and my family. As I go about my Wednesday, the middle day of the week, remind...

God created us with the ability to sing and make music. Music is an important part of worship and praise to God, so it only seems fitting that  our Bible is full of passages about music throughout scripture. Rejoice in the sound through this collection of Bible verses about music! "Addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart" ~ Ephesians 5:19 Psalm 95:1-2  Come, let’s shout praises to  God , raise the roof for the Rock who saved us!  Let’s march into his presence singing praises, lifting the rafters with our hymns! Psalm 71:23    My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you— I whom you have delivered. Hebrews 2:12   “I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters;     in the assembly I will sing your praises.” Good morning, Prayer Warrior: Just wanted to remind you that prayer and singing go together. We can exalt our Lord in o...

Good Morning Prayer Warrior - Today in the United States we set aside this day, not to start the summer, or have a BBQ, but it is set aside to remember those who gave their life for our country.  Memorial Day is a solemn time.  As we gather with family, attend parades, and place flags at the graves of fallen soldiers, Memorial Day offers a sacred opportunity to reflect not only on national sacrifice but also on the ultimate sacrifice made by Jesus Christ. While this day is a time of remembrance for those who gave their lives in military service, it can also be a day for deeper spiritual reflection— each Memorial Day reflection is a chance to consider the ways in which Christ’s example of self-giving love continues to shape our understanding of service, sacrifice, and eternal hope. Jesus said, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (Read the passage from The Message, John 15:13 ). This verse is often quoted on Memorial Day, and for good ...

Good Sunday Morning! As I wake this morning, I read the 29 Psalm of David,  " Ascribe to the   Lord ,   you heavenly beings,  ascribe to   the   Lord   glory   and strength. 2      Ascribe to the  Lord  the glory due his name;      worship the  Lord  in the splendor of his   holiness" Oh Lord of lords, we thank You for Sundays. It is our resurrection day and it is our day to worship You in all of Your Holiness. Thank You for all the blessings from forgiveness of our sins to salvation and the future of Heaven. Help us prepare our minds and hearts today as we gather to worship You.  Bless those leading us in worship and help me to be a blessing to the others gathered in Your Name. Because of Jesus, Amen. *** You may always email prayer requests to:  prayerstarter@gmail.com or reply to this text. I will post prayer request   here .

Good Saturday morning -  This may be a good time to catch up on the blog posts you may have missed. If you want you can find them all here.  You can also send prayer request to prayerstarter@gmail.com or reply to the text when you received this message. We have over two dozen reading, studying and praying together every morning. I thank you and I thank our God because it strengthens me. Just this week, one of our brothers reached out and asked for a specific prayer. I texted back and prayed for his needs.  That was a blessing. But the real blessing was the next day, he let me know specifically how God answered that prayer!  Wow. Amazing! So this Saturday morning, just reflect. Meditate on a word that reminds you of what God has done for you. Then just say a prayer, thanking Him for all He does for you. Take some time. Think. Meditate. Contemplate. Read Ezra 8:23   So we fasted  and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer. Pray. Dear Lord, ...

Dear Lord, This morning I want to meditate about this "tree planted by the water." I pray that You will fill me with Your Spirit, so I can understand this little phrase and get to know You better. My prayer is for me and my prayer warrior brothers and sisters in Christ to be strengthened in faith because we are learning to trust You. I will continue to pray and talk with You, Lord, throughout the day, but for now, I want to encourage my friends to just think  on this passage and let You speak to each of us individual. Thank You for Jesus. In His Name, Amen For your edification our week's passage:  Psalm 1 An Extra Reading: Joshua 1:8     Psalm 48

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the  Lord ,      whose confidence is in him. 8  They will be like a tree planted by the water      that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes;      its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought      and never fails to bear fruit.”     Jeremiah 17:7-8 Here is another passage that also speaks about trees planted near water. Pick a word or a phrase and then use our 4 steps to pray to God Divine Biblical reading is a form to communion with God in prayer. There are four (4) steps: 1. Read a passage.  First you read the passage gently. Read outloud - multiple times - get the picture of God in the message. Identify a word or phrase and commit to that term for the day. 2. Meditate the scripture.  Second, meditate on His word. Let the scripture read to you. Use the passage to help you refl...

Dear Prayer Warrior: Yesterday I introduced the concept of divine Biblical reading as a form of prayer.  You read this scripture: Blessed is the one      who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take      or sit in the company of mockers, 2  but whose delight is in the law of the  Lord ,      and who meditates on his law day and night. 3  That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,      which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—      whatever they do prospers. 4  Not so the wicked!      They are like chaff      that the wind blows away. 5  Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,      nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. 6  For the  Lord  watch...

Good morning,  If you are still reading these little blogs, I will assume you are seeking to enrich every day with prayer. In doing so, you and I realize the importance of inviting God into every aspect of our lives, including the mundane. Whether you are dealing with significant hurdles such as health issues, finance issues, or family issues, or just navigating the daily responsibilities of our lives, such as attending a business meeting, teaching a class, or volunteering at church or school, prayer is essential. Prayer transforms routine activities into profound spiritual engagements, helping us to recognize the ordinary through the lens of faith. Paul wrote to Timothy  ( 2 Timothy 2:15, NIV ): Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth." A reminder that we are striving to live according to God's word, studying and praying - not because we have to - but because we love God. We ...
