It's Thanksiving Thursday!  Let's pray for the things we are thankful for:

Dear Lord,

As I praise You today, I want to lift up a number of people to You. These are my friends; my family. These are some of the  people on my heart today. I want to pray for...

Name names, Prayer Partner. Text me back a name, or two, or three. Let's pray together - all day for as many of our brothers and sisters as  you can think of.  

I will start.

Lord, I have a number of friends and family on my mind. Please hear my prayer for them and bless them. This morning, I am praying for Ken and Cathy and their family. I am praying for Lois. I saw her in services this past Sunday and she was smiling. Thank You for giving her the energy and abililty to join us for worship. 

Thank You for my friends, Glenn and Suzie. Thank You for Mean Jean...bless him today. Thank You for my wife, children and son in laws - and our grandchildren. 

Thank You for the 200 plus students I work with during the week. I pray for those that are graduating from High School this month. We have a dozen or more from our church and I will be handing out diplomas to 20 in West Texas. I pray for the health, safety and well-being of all graduates this month across this great nation.

Lord, my prayer this morning is for Walter J. I haven't seen him in a while, but he is on my mind. Please give him comfort and health. I pray for Bill B and for his health. My Lord, I pray for all people I don't recall their names, but I see their faces.

Lord, I pray for our leaders. Both in the church, in our communities and across our nation. May You be with them and keep the safe and keep them in Your guiding arms.

May Your Spirit, help me to pray for those I have forgotten.

In Your Son's Name,

Assurance is God’s gift of steady confidence in His promises. In a world filled with uncertainty, God offers His children the peace of knowing that our salvation, hope, and future rest securely in Him—not in our own strength or performance. “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” — 1 John 5:13 God’s assurance reminds us that we belong to Him. Merry Christmas.  Good morning, friend: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us ). — Matthew 1:23 From the very beginning, God’s desire has been to dwell with His people. The promise of Emmanuel - God with us  — is the fulfillment of that longing. In Jesus Christ, God did not remain distant or unreachable. He stepped into our world, our struggles, and our suffering. Emmanuel reminds us that God is present in every season of life. When we feel alone, He is with us. When we walk through uncertainty, He walks beside us.
