Friday, May 1, 2026 Proverbs 5 "Pray to Avoid Temptation"

Image
Now then, my sons, listen to me;      do not turn aside from what I say. 8  Keep to a path far from her,      do not go near the door of her house, 9  lest you lose your honor to others      and your dignity to one who is cruel, 10  lest strangers feast on your wealth      and your toil enrich the house of another.  Proverbs 5:7-10 Read the entire Proverbs 5 I love the Proverbs! I  have never prayed with the Proverbs, but this has been a blessing for me. I hope it is for you. Proverbs 5 is a strong and honest warning about temptation - especially the kind that pulls us away from faithfulness. It reminds us that not everything that looks good leads to something good. What seems sweet in the moment can bring lasting pain if it pulls us away from God’s design. The main message is to stay faithful, to honor the commitments we’ve made, and to find joy in what God has already giv...

Thursday, April 30, 2026 Proverbs 4 Seeking Wisdom

Image
Good Morning, Prayer Warrior Proverbs 4 calls us to pursue wisdom like it’s life itself because it is. Wisdom isn’t just knowledge; it’s the path that leads to peace, stability, and a life that honors God. At the center of this chapter is a powerful command: “Above all else, guard your heart.” Your heart is the control center of your life. Your thoughts, desires, and decisions all flow from it. What you allow in (through what you watch, listen to, and dwell on) shapes who you become. God’s wisdom lights the path ahead, helping you avoid regret and walk in purpose. When you stay focused on His truth and guard your heart, your steps become steady, and your life reflects His goodness. Lord, Help me to seek Your wisdom above everything else. Teach me to guard my heart and be mindful of what I allow into my life. Keep my eyes focused on Your truth and my feet walking in Your ways. When distractions come, give me clarity. When temptation comes, give me strength. Shape my heart so that my li...

Good Monday morning, Prayer Warrior - Read with me Proverbs 1 The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel:   for gaining wisdom and instruction;      for understanding words of insight;   for receiving instruction in prudent behavior,      doing what is right and just and fair;   for giving prudence to those who are simple,      knowledge and discretion to the young—   let the wise listen and add to their learning,      and let the discerning get guidance—   for understanding proverbs and parables,      the sayings and riddles of the wise.  (Proverbs 1:1-6 NIV) Lord, give me a heart that desires Your wisdom above my own understanding.   Help me to listen when You speak and not ignore Your correction.   Guard me from the pull of wrong influences and keep my steps on the path of righteousness. Sunday, April 26, 2026 Good Morning, Let's Worship

Image
We have enjoyed praying through the Psalms over the past few weeks.  I hope you have been encouraged and your relationship with God has been strengthened.  On this Sunday, the Lord's Day, let's pray a prayer together that summarizes the prayers and songs of the Psalms. Lord, You are great and worthy of all praise. Your love never fails, and Your faithfulness reaches to every generation. You are our Creator, our Shepherd, and our King. You lift us up when we are weak and fill our hearts with joy. We praise You for Your goodness, thank You for Your mercy, and trust You with all our lives. Let everything within us honor You, now and forever. In the Name of Your Son,  Amen. *** Lord, Lead me to one soul today. Prayer Requests T ext Prayer Requests to: 979 - 800 - 3415

Saturday, April 25, 2026 Psalm 149-150 Wrapping up the Psalms

Image
So many beautiful songs were inspired by the Psalms. Good morning - please read Psalm 149 - 150  the final two psalms of David. Here is a popular song based on Psalm 150 .   Praise the  Lord ! Sing to the  Lord  a new song,      his praise in the assembly of the godly! 2  Let Israel be glad in his Maker;      let the children of Zion rejoice in their King! 3  Let them praise his name with dancing,      making melody to him with tambourine and lyre! 4  For the  Lord  takes pleasure in his people;      he adorns the humble with salvation. 5  Let the godly exult in glory;      let them sing for joy on their beds. 6  Let the high praises of God be in their throats      and two-edged swords in their hands, 7  to execute vengeance on the nations  ...

Friday, April 24, 2026 Psalms 148 Praise the Lord, Ye Heavens Adore Him

Image
This morning's Psalm (#148) was the inspiration to Franz Joseph Haydn's  " Praise the Lord, Ye Heavens Adore Him."   Here is a l ink to the song ,                    Here is a link to the passage . Join me in praying this prayer based on Psalm 148 - Lord of heaven and earth, You are worthy of all praise. From the highest heavens to the depths of the earth, everything You have made reflects Your glory. The sun, the moon, and the stars shine by Your command. The mountains stand, the oceans roar, and all creation declares Your greatness. Teach my heart to join that song. When I grow quiet or distracted, remind me that all around me is praise— and I am invited into it. Let my life honor You, just as creation does - with obedience, with wonder, and with joy. Whether in strength or in weakness, in full voice or quiet trust, may I give You the praise You deserve. You have lifted up Your people and drawn us near to Y...
