Wednesday, April 1, 2026, Psalm 111 & 112 Light after Darkness

Image
Today's  Psalms 111 and 112   remind us who God is and what His work produces in His people.  Psalm 111 celebrates the greatness of God’s works: “He has caused His wonders to be remembered… He is gracious and compassionate” (v. 4). The resurrection of Jesus is the greatest of those wonders. It is the clearest display that God is faithful, powerful, and full of mercy. Psalm 112 then shows the result of trusting in God. The one who fears the Lord is steady, generous, and unafraid: “Even in darkness light dawns for the upright” (v. 4). Th at light ultimately points to the empty tomb. Because Jesus rose, darkness does not win. Fear does not have the final word. The resurrection is not just something we celebrate, but it is something we live. We reflect God’s light wh en we trust Him and walk in righteousness.  The resurrection of Jesus teaches us that we may live with quiet confidence, even when life feels uncertain. Lord, thank You for Your wonderful works, e...

Tuesday, March 31, 2026 Psalm 110 Victory of the Resurrection

Image
The  Lord  says to my lord: “Sit at my right hand      until I make your enemies      a footstool for your feet.”  Psalm 110:1 (NIV) Psalm 110 points us beyond the cross to the victory of the resurrection. “The Lord says to my Lord: ‘Sit at my right hand…’” (v. 1). What looked like defeat on Friday became triumph on Sunday. Jesus did not remain in the grave. He rose and was exalted to the right hand of God. The resurrection is not just proof of life after death; it is the declaration that Jesus reigns. He is not only Savior; He is King. Every fear, every enemy, even death itself, is placed under His authority.  Jesus is the King of the world. Because He lives and reigns, we can live with confidence. The risen Christ is not distant. Our Savior, Jesus, is ruling, interceding, and working even now. Lord, thank You that Jesus is risen and reigning. Help me to trust Your authority over every part of my life. Teach me to ...

Monday, March 30, 2026 Psalm 108-109 Confident Praise in the Middle of a Crisis / Preparing for Holy Week

Image
Good Morning - Psalm 108 and 109 sit side by side, showing two very real parts of the life of a faithful man or woman of God. A faithful person will have  confidence in God and at the same time be seen  crying out in distress . Psalm 108 is bold and steady. David begins with confidence: “My heart, O God, is steadfast.” Even before the victory comes, he chooses to praise. He remembers God’s faithfulness and declares trust, knowing that God will bring help and deliverance. It’s a reminder that praise is not just for after the breakthrough - it’s something we choose in the middle of the struggle. Then comes Psalm 109 - raw, emotional, and honest. David pours out his pain as he faces betrayal, false accusations, and deep hurt. This psalm reminds us that God invites our real prayers, not polished ones. When we are wounded or misunderstood, we don’t have to hide it—we can bring it fully to Him. David uses these psalms to teach us: We can praise God with confidence , even b...

Sunday, March 29, 2026 Psalm 107 Give Thanks!

Image
Good morning friend- Psalm 107 is a call to remember and to give thanks. Again and again, the psalm declares: “ Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.”   No matter the situation, God’s unfailing love is the constant thread. People in this psalm faced many struggles - lost, broken, sick, and overwhelmed  - but each time they cried out, God responded with mercy. Not because they earned it, but because His love never fails. The psalmist reminds us that gratitude should shape our lives. When we pause to remember what God has done, thanksgiving naturally follows. His goodness is not temporary. His love is not conditional. It endures. So this morning, my friend, take a moment to reflect, pray and give thanks.  His love has carried you farther than you realize. Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your goodness and Your unfailing love that never runs out. Help me to remember all You have done for me and to live with a grateful heart.  Even in dif...

Good Saturday Morning, Friend. I pray you may have a blessed day - Andy Praise the  Lord . Give thanks to the  Lord , for he is good;      his love endures forever. 2  Who can proclaim the mighty acts of the  Lord      or fully declare his praise? 3  Blessed are those who act justly,      who always do what is right. 4  Remember me,  Lord , when you show favor to your people,      come to my aid when you save them, 5  that I may enjoy the prosperity of your chosen ones,      that I may share in the joy of your nation      and join your inheritance in giving praise.   (Psalm 106:1-5) Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your mercy that never fails. Forgive me for the times I forget Your goodness and go my own way. Help me to remember all You have done and to trust You more each day. Restore my he...

Friday, March 27, 2026 - Psalm 104–105: Remembering the God the Creator and the God of History

Image
Psalm 104 and 105   invite us to step back and see the bigger picture of who God is. I will sing to the  Lord  all my life;      I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. 3  May my meditation be pleasing to him,      as I rejoice in the  Lord . 3  But may sinners vanish from the earth      and the wicked be no more. Praise the  Lord , my soul. Praise the  Lord .  (Psalm 104:33-34) Good morning, friend, Read these two Psalms and let's see our Lord.  Psalm 104 celebrates God as  Creator and Sustainer . It paints a beautiful picture of the world and reminds us that everything is held together by His wisdom and care. Nothing is random. Every breath, every sunrise, every provision comes from His hand. Even when life feels uncertain, God is still sustaining the world; and He is sustaining you. Psalm 105 shifts from creation to  history , reminding us how...

Thursday, March 26, 2026 Psalm 103: Remembering God’s Goodness

Image
Psalm 103 is a beautiful reminder to not forget how good God has been to us. David begins by speaking to his own soul: “Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name” (Psalm 103:1). Sometimes we have to intentionally pause and remind ourselves to praise—especially when life feels heavy. This psalm walks us through the many gifts God gives: He forgives our sins He heals our brokenness He redeems our lives He crowns us with love and compassion For someone walking through grief, Psalm 103 offers a gentle truth: even when loss is real and painful, God’s love has not changed. His compassion is described as that of a father toward his children - tender, patient, and understanding (v.13). He knows our weakness. He remembers our pain. Verse 2 says, “Forget not all his benefits.” In seasons of sorrow, it can be easy to focus only on what we’ve lost. But this psalm invites us to also remember what remains - God’s steady presence, His mercy, and His unfai...
