Good Morning -
Scripture comes from Acts 12 this morning. Read the entire chapter. Verse 5 "So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him." You remember the story - Peter just escaped from prison. The angel helped him escape, but he didn't believe it - he thought it was a dream. He goes to the house where they were praying for him and knocks on the door. The servant girl goes to the door and hears Peter's voice. She hurried back to tell the others, and they refused to believe her! When she tells them Peter is at the door, they reply in verse 12, "You're out of your mind!" Yet they are in a prayer meeting for his release.
This story illustrates an important point for us. Not a single adult in the story had the faith to believe the prayers they were praying. Not even Peter, himself! Only the child servant, believed, and she did not even open the door for him. She merely heard his voice through the door.
It is not enough for us to pray in our troubled times; we must also pray in faith. And it only takes the faith of child.
Dear Lord,
Help me in good times and in bad times to keep the faith. Help me to pray in faith and expect the blessing from you. Forgive me for my doubts and fears. Forgive me for my unbelief.
Continue to pray your pray In Faith.
Have a blessed day.
