Good Morning, Friends!

Fridays are a good day to remember your friends. Friendship Friday is a time I can pray for my friends. True friends are hard to come by (Proverbs 20:6) so we should definitely thank God for our true friends, those that encourage us to be our best, to stay connected to Jesus, and uplift us when we are down. They truly are a gift from God.

The Bible illustrates how friends can influence us for good or for bad. It’s important for us to cultivate relationships that uplift and encourage us. When we walk alongside friends who share our values and beliefs, we strengthen our faith and enrich our lives together.

Friends love through all kinds of weather,

    and families stick together in all kinds of trouble. (The Message)

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NIV Link) 

Two are better than one,
Because they have a good reward for their labor.

Dear Lord,

I wake up this morning grateful to You for the friends You provide me. I thank You for these friendship. For my friends are not pefect, but yet they strengthen me and encourage me through our friendship.   Bless them. Help me to recipicate their friendship. Help us sharpen one another. Help me to be a friend like Jesus.

I suggest you continue your prayer, naming your friends and specifically telling our God why you appreciate these friends. Ask God to bless them specifically, because they are your friend, you should know their needs. And do not forget to praise God that He provided you with these friends.

Final thought... if this post is hard for you... if you cannot identify a good friend, then I pray for you. I specifically pray that you will ask God to help you find that friend. Then go find a potential friend and befriend them. Find a soul who is not soaring with the Eagles sort of speak and reach out. Be a friend. Be a true friend even if they do not respond. And our Lord will bless you.

Prayer Starter - Thursday, June 26, 2025 Pray for a Helicopter

Good Morning, I hope you won't be offended, but I want to share an old joke with you that drives home an important point regarding what the Bible tells us about prayer and trusting in God. A religious man was trapped on the roof of his house during a bad flood. He prayed to God to save him. Before the waters were too high, a neighbor drove by and offered to take him in his truck before the water rose. He declined the offer and said "God will save me."  As the water rose, vehicles could no longer drive by and a Fire & Rescue crew came by in a boat. Again, an offer for rescue and again, the religious man said, he would wait upon the Lord.  Finally the water is destroying the house and it is near the lower levels of the roof. Another rescue attempt this time by helicopter, offers to whisk him away to safely and he declines, relying on God to save him, only to die in the great storm.
