Prayer Starter - Saturday, July 19, 2025. Hear my cry, Lord




Good Saturday morning,

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

One of the biggest giant killers we face is fear and depression.  It is easy to go to church and sing songs of faith and then go home and worry all week. Our Lord says, 'Stop it!'  God reassures us throughout His word he is here for us.  It is ok to cry out for Him, but as we grow our relationship with God thru prayer, let us remember to lean on Him because of faith.  He does hear our call.

Our Father in heaven and on earth,

Why don't we learn? So many of us (me included) fail to trust You. We worry about nearly everything.  As scriptures says You will taake care of us.  Thank You, Lord. Please forgive my failing faith in You.

Please guide me thru this day and help me see how You are with me thru all things- even when it seems there is no way out, help me to remain strong and trust You.

In the Name of Jesus-  Amen.

Prayer Starter - Thursday, June 26, 2025 Pray for a Helicopter

Good Morning, I hope you won't be offended, but I want to share an old joke with you that drives home an important point regarding what the Bible tells us about prayer and trusting in God. A religious man was trapped on the roof of his house during a bad flood. He prayed to God to save him. Before the waters were too high, a neighbor drove by and offered to take him in his truck before the water rose. He declined the offer and said "God will save me."  As the water rose, vehicles could no longer drive by and a Fire & Rescue crew came by in a boat. Again, an offer for rescue and again, the religious man said, he would wait upon the Lord.  Finally the water is destroying the house and it is near the lower levels of the roof. Another rescue attempt this time by helicopter, offers to whisk him away to safely and he declines, relying on God to save him, only to die in the great storm. Lamentations 3:22-23 (NIV) "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." As we grow older, life often brings unexpected challenges—health concerns, changes in relationships, and the reality of life's brevity. But in all the seasons of life, one thing remains constant: God's faithfulness. In the book of Lamentations, Jermiah the.prophet, reflects on a time of great sorrow and hardship.
