Prayer Starter - Saturday, August 2, 2025 - "For the Battle is Yours, Lord."


Good Morning -

Here is a powerful verse from the Old Testament that ought to empower those of us who are a child of God.

2 Chronicales 20:15 He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.

Do you ever feel like you are up against an a wall? The scripture says, "Do not be afraid or discouraged - God has this!"

When you are up against a big challenge, the first thing you should do in preparation to tackle the enemy, is pray: "God, I give You this battle!" And then Trust God.  

1 Samuel 17

45 David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

Holy Father, 

You are the almighty God! I lift Your Name on High!

When I am up against a challenge, I will talk to You about my concerns, Lord.  Help me be like David and give You my worries and fears. Help me to trust You and then run towards the battle, rather than be afraid.  That battle I have (name it, if you have one) is Yours!

Merry Christmas.  Good morning, friend: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us ). — Matthew 1:23 From the very beginning, God’s desire has been to dwell with His people. The promise of Emmanuel - God with us  — is the fulfillment of that longing. In Jesus Christ, God did not remain distant or unreachable. He stepped into our world, our struggles, and our suffering.
