Prayer Starter - Friday, September 19, 2025 “Here Am I, Send Me”
In Isaiah 6:8, the prophet hears the Lord asking, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Without hesitation, Isaiah replies, “Here am I. Send me.”
This verse is a powerful picture of surrender and obedience. Isaiah had just seen the holiness of God and was aware of his own unworthiness. But once he was cleansed and forgiven, his heart was ready to respond. His words remind us that God isn’t just looking for the most talented, the most experienced, or the most qualified—He is looking for those willing to go where He sends them.
Our world is full of people who need hope, love, and truth. Sometimes God’s call means going to another country, but often it simply means being faithful where we are—sharing kindness with a neighbor, offering encouragement at work, or serving in our local church. When we say, “Here am I, send me,” we are giving God permission to use our lives for His purposes, no matter how small or big the assignment may be.
Heavenly Father, thank You for calling us to be part of Your work. Like Isaiah, we stand before You humbled and forgiven. Make our hearts willing and ready to respond to Your call. Show us where You are sending us today—whether across the street or across the world—and give us courage to go. Help us to trust that when You send us, You also go with us. Here we are, Lord. Use us for Your glory.
In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
