Prayer Starter - Monday, September 8, 2025 Made for Praise
Good Monday Morning,
The word, "Praise" is used by Paul four times in the first chapter of Ephesians. Here is a sample of chapter one and Paul reminding us that we were built to praise and to praise God.
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
12 ...we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.
13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.
God designed us to "Praise!" However, we often praise the wrong things. Who do you praise? Some of us praise the Friday night, Saturday, or Sunday aftenoon teams. We praise our favorite teams and they often fail us... oh, and then we are just frustrated. Sometimes we praise our successes. And they can fail us. Who do you praise?
This week, let's change our focus - let's praise God - who will not fail us.
Let's pray two verses from Isaiah 26:3-4
3 You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you.
4 Trust in the Lord forever,
for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal
Dear God, Thank You for keeping us in perfect peace. Thank You for helping us to keep our minds steadfast by trusting You.
We praise You, Lord, because You bless us with all spiritual blessings. Our hope is in Your Son and we praise You, oh, God, for allowing us to be Your children. Thank You for marking us with the seal of the Holy Spirit.
