Prayer Starter - Monday, October 20, 2025. Faith is based on things not seen
Hebrews 11 is often called the “Faith Chapter” because it reminds us of men and women who trusted God even when they couldn’t see the outcome. Noah built an ark before a single drop of rain fell. Abraham left his home not knowing where he was going. Moses chose to follow God rather than enjoy the treasures of Egypt.
Their experiences remind us that faith isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about trusting the One who does. True faith believes God’s promises even when circumstances seem impossible. It looks beyond the visible to the eternal.
God still calls us to walk by faith today. Each act of obedience, each prayer whispered in hope, and each step taken in trust brings pleasure to God. When we choose faith, we live in a way that honors Him and draws us closer to His heart. This week our prayers will focus on our faith and the faithful of God.
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the examples of faith found in Your Word. Help me to trust You even when I don’t understand what You’re doing. Strengthen my heart to walk by faith, not by sight. Like the heroes of old, may my life reflect a deep and steady confidence in Your promises.
Lord, remind me that faith is believing in the unseen. Faith is not based on the scientific method or special knowledge - it is based on what is not seen. Increase my faith today, Lord, and let it bring glory to Your name.
Continue your prayer and ask God to specifically help you in your faith or ask Him to forgive your lack of faith.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
