Prayer Starter - Sunday, October 5, 2025 Hope in Christ

"I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people."
Ephesians 1:18

Life can feel overwhelming at times. Circumstances shift, people disappoint, and our own strength often runs dry. Yet Paul reminds us in Ephesians that there is a hope that does not fade, because it is rooted in Christ Himself.

This hope is not wishful thinking —it is a confident assurance that God is in control, that His promises are true, and that His purposes for us will not fail. The “hope to which He has called you” is both present and eternal: the strength to endure today and the promise of an eternal inheritance with Him.

Hope in Christ is the anchor of the soul. It lifts our eyes above our trials and reminds us that no matter what comes along, we belong to Him. When life feels uncertain, we can rest in the certainty of His love and His victory.

Lord open the eyes of my heart to see the hope You have given me. Remind me that in every trial and every joy, my future is secure in You. May my life reflect the confidence and peace that comes from trusting in Your promises.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

I encourage you to continue your prayer focusing on the hope you have in Jesus.

See you in worship!
