Prayer Starter - Wednesday, October 29, 2025 Mid Week Prayer
When I was a child my mother would remind me to say my prayers. Before I would lay down, I would kneel by my bed and "say my prayers." As a child I don't recall what I expected, but I felt it was my duty and I did it. God was distant to me but I wanted to please Him. As I grew older I started reading the Bible for myself. I began to see God as not that far off. The older I got the more I realized He was a personal God who cared for me and wanted to see me grow as a Christian.
Prayer was no longer a ritual but an opportunity to actually talk to God. He would listen and He cared. From time to time I would actually sense that He was answering me. We have a relationship with God and it begins by us realizing what Jesus has done for us. Through this relationship we may grow close to God and we do that communicating through prayer.
Ephesians 3:12 tells us, we "may approach God with freedom and confidence."
We are blessed to have a God that is good - in fact great; and He wants to have a relationship with us. We can go to Him about anything - with confidence. Try it. Have a conversation.
Holy Father,
Thank You for Your Son, who came to this earth, lived and then died for my sins.
Thank You for being the God of all gods and for loving us as Your children, allowing us to communicate with You through prayer.
Oh Lord, bless me this day with Your Spirit of love and compassion. Help me to share Your message through word and deed. May others seen Jesus in me.
Father, I will continue to pray my private thoughts to You -
Father, I praise Your name because You are my God. May I always walk with You. Because of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
