Prayer Starter - Wednesday, October 8, 2025 God with us!


 “The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” — Zephaniah 3:17 (NIV)

No matter where we are or what we face, God’s presence is constant. He is not a distant observer but an active, loving Father who walks beside us. When life feels uncertain, His presence is our assurance. When our hearts grow weary, His love quiets our fears.

Take a moment today to simply breathe and remind yourself, "I am never alone." The same God who rejoices over you is with you now—strengthening, guiding, and loving you beyond measure.

Heavenly Father,


I pause in this moment to recognize that You are here with me. Your presence fills every space and brings peace to my heart as I  seek You. Thank You for being near—guiding, comforting, and sustaining me even when I am unaware or forgetful. 

Help me to walk with awareness of Your Spirit today, listening for Your voice and resting in Your love.

Because of Your Son,
Amen.

Today's Prayer Starter Good morning! As we begin this five day journey of praying specifically to build our relationship with God, let's start with a prayer of adoration. In Psalm 8 , David prays a prayer of adoration.  "O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babies and infants, You have established strength because of yor foes, to still the enemy and the avenger." You can read the entire Psalm, but this morning use David's prayer to help you tell God why you believe His name is majestic in all the earth.  Try it! Prayer Starter - Thursday, June 26, 2025 Pray for a Helicopter

Good Morning, I hope you won't be offended, but I want to share an old joke with you that drives home an important point regarding what the Bible tells us about prayer and trusting in God. A religious man was trapped on the roof of his house during a bad flood. He prayed to God to save him. Before the waters were too high, a neighbor drove by and offered to take him in his truck before the water rose. He declined the offer and said "God will save me."  As the water rose, vehicles could no longer drive by and a Fire & Rescue crew came by in a boat. Again, an offer for rescue and again, the religious man said, he would wait upon the Lord.  Finally the water is destroying the house and it is near the lower levels of the roof. Another rescue attempt this time by helicopter, offers to whisk him away to safely and he declines, relying on God to save him, only to die in the great storm. Lamentations 3:22-23 (NIV) "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." As we grow older, life often brings unexpected challenges—health concerns, changes in relationships, and the reality of life's brevity. But in all the seasons of life, one thing remains constant: God's faithfulness. In the book of Lamentations, Jermiah the.prophet, reflects on a time of great sorrow and hardship.
