Good Morning, Prayer Warrior

I hope you are having a wonderful week and enjoying the prayers of thanksgiving.

Please continue to praise God and thank Him for all the blessings you have.

We will continue next Monday with more prayers of thanksgiving, but today I want you to pray for a friend of mine.  He was just diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.  He is a long time educator who I have known for many years.  A true man of God who loves and trusts the Lord, even in times like this.

Dear God, our Lord and Creator of all-

This morning I lift up to you my friend and colleague. My prayer is that You comfort him and protect him from pain.  I pray You give him the health to remind the doctors they dont always know everything.  Bless him with the health to beat man's predictions and live beyond anyone's expectations.

No matter what, Lord, may Your Spirit continue to fill him with your grace.  I pray for his wife and children- give them the strength to support him with their love.  Give them Your love as these our times that are difficult to understand.

Holy Father, as all Your prayer warriors are lifting up my friend today I imagine they have friends and love ones on their hearts, so I ask Your Spirit to guide, protect all of these precious souls.  Remind us to stay true to Your word, trust You in all circumstances and remain faithful until we all meet again in Heaven with You.

While we praise Your Name and thank You for all the blessing You pour out on us here on earth, we also must take the time to ask You to protect our friends who are in need. We know You are faithful.  Bless my friend and his family.  Bless my prayer warrior's friends who also are in need of Your love and grace.

Today's Prayer Starter Good morning! As we begin this five day journey of praying specifically to build our relationship with God, let's start with a prayer of adoration. In Psalm 8 , David prays a prayer of adoration.  "O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babies and infants, You have established strength because of yor foes, to still the enemy and the avenger." Prayer Starter - Thursday, June 26, 2025 Pray for a Helicopter

Good Morning, I hope you won't be offended, but I want to share an old joke with you that drives home an important point regarding what the Bible tells us about prayer and trusting in God. A religious man was trapped on the roof of his house during a bad flood. He prayed to God to save him. Before the waters were too high, a neighbor drove by and offered to take him in his truck before the water rose. He declined the offer and said "God will save me."  As the water rose, vehicles could no longer drive by and a Fire & Rescue crew came by in a boat. Again, an offer for rescue and again, the religious man said, he would wait upon the Lord.  Finally the water is destroying the house and it is near the lower levels of the roof. Another rescue attempt this time by helicopter, offers to whisk him away to safely and he declines, relying on God to save him, only to die in the great storm. Lamentations 3:22-23 (NIV) "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." As we grow older, life often brings unexpected challenges—health concerns, changes in relationships, and the reality of life's brevity.
