Good Morning,
“Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.” — Psalm 100:4 (NIV)
Psalm 100 is one of the most joyful passages in all of Scripture. It’s a call to worship that reminds us who God is — our Creator, Shepherd, and Savior — and who we are — His people, the sheep of His pasture.
When the psalmist says, “Enter His gates with thanksgiving,” it paints the picture of people coming into the temple to worship God with glad hearts. Thanksgiving isn’t just a polite gesture; it’s the key that opens the gate to God’s presence.
Gratitude shifts our focus from ourselves to God. It reminds us that every breath, every blessing, and every moment of grace comes from His hand. When we approach Him with thankful hearts, we come not as consumers of blessings, but as children who delight in the Giver.
Thanksgiving also prepares our hearts for praise. When we remember all that God has done — His faithfulness in the past, His mercy in the present, and His promises for the future — joy naturally rises within us. Worship then becomes a celebration of who God is, not just what He gives.
Whether we’re gathered with family around a Thanksgiving table or standing quietly in prayer, Psalm 100 invites us to step into God’s presence with songs of gratitude. Joy grows where thankfulness lives.
Father,
I come before You with a thankful heart. Thank You for Your steadfast love that never changes and for Your faithfulness that reaches to every generation.
Help me to remember that gratitude opens the door to Your presence. Teach me to enter each day — not with worry or complaint — but with thanksgiving and praise.
May my life overflow with joy that comes from knowing You. Let my words, my worship, and my daily choices reflect a heart that truly gives thanks.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Lord, Lead me to one soul today
