Prayer Starter - Saturday, December 27, 2025 The Gift of Freedom


There are so  many good gifts from God. The final one I want to share with you this year is the gift of freedom found in Jesus Christ. Through Christ, we are set free - not only from sin and guilt, but also from fear, shame, and the burden of trying to earn God’s love. After a lifetime of experiences, successes, and regrets, it is comforting to know that our freedom rests not in what we have done, but in what Christ has done for us. True freedom is not about doing whatever we please; it is the freedom to live as God created us to live; secure in His grace.

God’s freedom also brings release from the past. Old mistakes, lingering regrets, and broken patterns no longer have the final word. As we continue to walk with Christ, we are reminded that His mercy is still new, His purpose remains, and our lives still matter. God’s gift of freedom allows us to choose what is right, to love others with patience and kindness, and to live each day with hope ulimately, bringing glory to Him in every season of life.

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” — John 8:36 (NIV)

Holy Father, Thank You for being our Redeemer, justifying us by Faithand giving us the Gift of Freedom to serve You.  As we reflect on the end of 2025, we are thankful for the many blessings You have poured out on us daily. We thank You for Your Spirit who has watched over us and guided us each day of this year.

We praise You for sending Your Son to us - Jesus is the gift of all gifts - setting us free from our sins and guilt - setting us free from shame and fears.  Thank You for Your Holy comfort and for peace.

Continue your prayer.

Thank You for the gift of prayer and allowing us to talk to You from our heart. When we are a lost for words, thank You for providing us Your Spirit who prays for us when we no not what to say.

Lord, we praise You for our family and friends. We praise You for those that share the good news about Your Son to us. It is because of Jesus, we pray this prayer. Amen.

You can read the entire Psalm, but this morning use David's prayer to help you tell God why you believe His name is majestic in all the earth.  Try it! Prayer Starter - Thursday, June 26, 2025 Pray for a Helicopter

Good Morning, I hope you won't be offended, but I want to share an old joke with you that drives home an important point regarding what the Bible tells us about prayer and trusting in God. A religious man was trapped on the roof of his house during a bad flood. He prayed to God to save him. Before the waters were too high, a neighbor drove by and offered to take him in his truck before the water rose. He declined the offer and said "God will save me."  As the water rose, vehicles could no longer drive by and a Fire & Rescue crew came by in a boat. Again, an offer for rescue and again, the religious man said, he would wait upon the Lord.  Finally the water is destroying the house and it is near the lower levels of the roof. Another rescue attempt this time by helicopter, offers to whisk him away to safely and he declines, relying on God to save him, only to die in the great storm. Assurance is God’s gift of steady confidence in His promises. In a world filled with uncertainty, God offers His children the peace of knowing that our salvation, hope, and future rest securely in Him—not in our own strength or performance. “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” — 1 John 5:13 God’s assurance reminds us that we belong to Him. When doubts arise or fears whisper that we are not enough, His Word speaks truth: we are held by His grace. Our confidence is not rooted in how tightly we hold onto God, but in how firmly He holds onto us. Through assurance, God calms anxious hearts and strengthens our faith.
