The Gift of Strength

Isaiah 40:29–31

He gives strength to the weary

    and increases the power of the weak.

 Even youths grow tired and weary,

    and young men stumble and fall;

 but those who hope in the Lord

    will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles;

    they will run and not grow weary,

    they will walk and not be faint.


God gives strength to the weary—and He knows exactly when we need it. His strength is not just physical; it renews our hope, our courage, and our will to keep going. When we wait on Him, He lifts us higher than our struggles and empowers us to run, walk, and soar again.

What a gift from God - a strength that overcomes any challenge we face.  We just need to be still and listen to Him.  Yesterday I was lying in a MRI machine.  Couldn't move for 25 minutes.  It was the best thing for my soul.  I laid there and just chatted with our Lord. He kept me still.  I talked. I listened.  God spoke to me - not with human words but with the comfort that comes only from the Holy Spirit.

My point this morning. Whatever state you find yourself, take a moment and listen for the Father.  When it is time for you to share, be honest and confess whatever is on your heart. Ask for what you think you need.  And then ask that the Spirit override your human requests and that He prays for you.

The strength you will receive from the Father will be a gift only He can provide.


Father, give me Your strength today. Renew my energy, refresh my spirit, and help me rise above every challenge.  

Lord, I don't always know how to pray, so I ask Your Spirit to pray for me.  May the gift of Your strength help me overcome whatever foe I face.

Thank You for Jesus.  Thank You for being my Lord and Savior.

In Jesus Name, I pray.

Merry Christmas.  Good morning, friend: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us ). — Matthew 1:23 From the very beginning, God’s desire has been to dwell with His people. The promise of Emmanuel - God with us  — is the fulfillment of that longing. In Jesus Christ, God did not remain distant or unreachable. He stepped into our world, our struggles, and our suffering.
