Prayer Starter - Sunday, December 28, 2025 New Year's Prayer of Surrender

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
 in all your ways submit to him,
    and he will make your paths straight.
-Proverbs 3:5–6

Good Morning, Prayer Warriors:

The new year invites us to release control and trust God with what lies ahead. Rather than trying to manage every outcome, we begin by placing our plans, hopes, and concerns into His hands. God already sees the year before us, and He promises to guide those who seek Him first.

This week I will pray with you and ask God to help us prepare to become more like Jesus everyday.


Lord, as this year begins, I surrender my plans, fears, and expectations to You. Lead me in Your ways.  Help me to do Your Will.

This morning as we gather to worship may our hearts be centered in You. May out head and hands do Your Will! May our feet take us only where Your Spirt wants us to go.

Continue your personal thoughts to God.

Lord,  we surrender to Your plan.  Guide us to be less of ourself and more of You!  We pray a blessing on each of our prayer warriors for an awesome 2026; may each person who shares these prayers be lifted up to You and may they be blessed - not because of their faith, but a result of their faith - because they love You and more importantly, You love them and You accept them as they are.

In the Name of Jesus,

I truly hope you will been blessed beyond measure because of your faith in Jesus. Continue to trust Him and we pray 2026 is a great year for you.

Prayer Starter - Thursday, June 26, 2025 Pray for a Helicopter

Good Morning, I hope you won't be offended, but I want to share an old joke with you that drives home an important point regarding what the Bible tells us about prayer and trusting in God. A religious man was trapped on the roof of his house during a bad flood. He prayed to God to save him. Before the waters were too high, a neighbor drove by and offered to take him in his truck before the water rose. He declined the offer and said "God will save me."  As the water rose, vehicles could no longer drive by and a Fire & Rescue crew came by in a boat. Again, an offer for rescue and again, the religious man said, he would wait upon the Lord.  Finally the water is destroying the house and it is near the lower levels of the roof. Another rescue attempt this time by helicopter, offers to whisk him away to safely and he declines, relying on God to save him, only to die in the great storm. Assurance is God’s gift of steady confidence in His promises. In a world filled with uncertainty, God offers His children the peace of knowing that our salvation, hope, and future rest securely in Him—not in our own strength or performance. “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” — 1 John 5:13 God’s assurance reminds us that we belong to Him. When doubts arise or fears whisper that we are not enough, His Word speaks truth: we are held by His grace. Our confidence is not rooted in how tightly we hold onto God, but in how firmly He holds onto us. Through assurance, God calms anxious hearts and strengthens our faith.
