The Gift of Hope

Romans 15:13   May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.


Hope is God’s gift that anchors us when life feels uncertain. It reminds us that tomorrow is in His hands and that His promises cannot fail. Biblical hope is not wishful thinking—it is confident trust that God is working for our good even when we cannot see it.  As we prepare to join the Saints for worship, remember the gift of hope that God gives each of us who accept Jesus as our savior.  I hope you are filled with joy and peace that only comes from God, the Father.


God of hope, fill me with joy and peace as I trust in You. Let Your hope overflow in me and may it shine through me to those I meet.  Holy Father, I pray that we have a blessed day singing praises to You and enjoying the peace and joy that come from being Your Child.

Lord, I know I get frustrated. I worry too much. I don't always do Your will, but I am working to build my faith, to trust You, to walk with the guidance of Your Holy Spirit.

Thank You for the gift of hope. In the Name of Jesus. Amen

Today's Prayer Starter Good morning! As we begin this five day journey of praying specifically to build our relationship with God, let's start with a prayer of adoration. In Psalm 8 , David prays a prayer of adoration.  "O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babies and infants, You have established strength because of yor foes, to still the enemy and the avenger." You can read the entire Psalm, but this morning use David's prayer to help you tell God why you believe His name is majestic in all the earth.  Try it! Still need some help.  Here is my morning adoration prayer to God: O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth!  You have given me a good night's rest, good health, and a desire to spread the love of Jesus today.  Walk with me O Lord and let your light shine from me today!

Prayer Starter - Thursday, June 26, 2025 Pray for a Helicopter

Good Morning, I hope you won't be offended, but I want to share an old joke with you that drives home an important point regarding what the Bible tells us about prayer and trusting in God. A religious man was trapped on the roof of his house during a bad flood. He prayed to God to save him. Before the waters were too high, a neighbor drove by and offered to take him in his truck before the water rose. He declined the offer and said "God will save me."  As the water rose, vehicles could no longer drive by and a Fire & Rescue crew came by in a boat. Again, an offer for rescue and again, the religious man said, he would wait upon the Lord.  Finally the water is destroying the house and it is near the lower levels of the roof. Another rescue attempt this time by helicopter, offers to whisk him away to safely and he declines, relying on God to save him, only to die in the great storm. Lamentations 3:22-23 (NIV) "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." As we grow older, life often brings unexpected challenges—health concerns, changes in relationships, and the reality of life's brevity. But in all the seasons of life, one thing remains constant: God's faithfulness. In the book of Lamentations, Jermiah the.prophet, reflects on a time of great sorrow and hardship. Yet, he still finds reason to hope. Why? Because God’s faithfulness is unwavering. Even when circumstances seem difficult or uncertain, God’s love and compassion never fail.
