Prayer Starter - Wednesday, December 31, 2025 - A Prayer for Strength and Peace


Isaiah 40:31

"but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
    they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
    they shall walk and not faint."

Life often asks more of us than we feel we can give. In moments of weariness, God does not simply demand endurance - He offers strength. Alongside that strength, our God provides peace that steadies our hearts when circumstances feel uncertain.

As we begin this new year, we are reminded that true strength is found in trusting God, and true peace comes from resting in His presence. When we bring our burdens to Him, He renews us and quiets our souls, assuring us that we do not walk alone.


Good Morning, God -

Provide to  me Your strength when I am weak and Your peace when my heart is troubled. Help me rest in You today. As I look forward to the beginning of a New Year remind me that my strength comes from You. 

Continue your personal prayer - here is mine for some of you.

Lord, I have friends who love You and are struggling. They have pain, they have cancers or other illnesses that are challenging their faith. Please give them peace that only comes from Your comforting love. Help me to share the peace that only is found in Your Son.

In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

Today's Prayer Starter Good morning! As we begin this five day journey of praying specifically to build our relationship with God, let's start with a prayer of adoration. In Psalm 8 , David prays a prayer of adoration.  "O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babies and infants, You have established strength because of yor foes, to still the enemy and the avenger." Merry Christmas.  Good morning, friend: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us ). — Matthew 1:23 From the very beginning, God’s desire has been to dwell with His people. The promise of Emmanuel - God with us  — is the fulfillment of that longing. In Jesus Christ, God did not remain distant or unreachable. He stepped into our world, our struggles, and our suffering. Emmanuel reminds us that God is present in every season of life. When we feel alone, He is with us. When we walk through uncertainty, He walks beside us. Jesus experienced human weakness, sorrow, and temptation, yet without sin, so that we could know God not just as Creator, but as Companion and Savior. Prayer Starter - Thursday, June 26, 2025 Pray for a Helicopter

Good Morning, I hope you won't be offended, but I want to share an old joke with you that drives home an important point regarding what the Bible tells us about prayer and trusting in God. A religious man was trapped on the roof of his house during a bad flood. He prayed to God to save him. Before the waters were too high, a neighbor drove by and offered to take him in his truck before the water rose. He declined the offer and said "God will save me."  As the water rose, vehicles could no longer drive by and a Fire & Rescue crew came by in a boat. Again, an offer for rescue and again, the religious man said, he would wait upon the Lord.  Finally the water is destroying the house and it is near the lower levels of the roof. Another rescue attempt this time by helicopter, offers to whisk him away to safely and he declines, relying on God to save him, only to die in the great storm.
