Prayer Starter - Friday, January 23, 2026 Safety in Winter storms
Winter storms remind us how small we are and how much we depend on God’s care. The winds may howl and the cold may press in, but Scripture assures us that the Lord remains our steady refuge. When roads become uncertain and the skies grow dark, God’s presence does not waver. He walks with us through every frozen night and every anxious moment, wrapping us in His peace.
The psalmist declares, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1). As we face winter’s challenges—travel, power outages, health concerns, and worry—we are invited to rest in the One who never sleeps nor slumbers. Let thissweekend's storms draw you closer to God, trusting that His protection is as constant as His love.
“The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” — Psalm 121:8
Faithful God, You are our shelter and our shield. As winter storms surround us, we place our trust in Your unfailing care. Watch over our homes, our families, and all who must travel in harsh conditions.
Calm our fears and fill our hearts with Your peace. Remind us that You are near in every moment, guarding our steps and holding us in Your loving hands.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Stay warm. Stick with JESUS!
