Prayer Starter - Saturday, January 24, 2026 Prayer in the Thick of the Storm


There are moments when the storm does not just pass by - it stands all around us. The coldest winds press against our hearts, and the rains seem to fall without pause. In those hours, faith can feel fragile, and strength can feel far away. Yet this is often where God’s presence is felt most deeply.

Jesus spoke peace into a raging sea, and He still speaks peace into our lives today. “The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble” (Psalm 9:9). Even when the storm roars, God remains closer than our fear and stronger than the winds that threaten to overwhelm us.

If you find yourself weary in the middle of the battle, remember this: you are not standing alone. God stands with you, holding you steady, wrapping you in His grace, and whispering hope into the fiercest of storms.

Holy Father, don't allow my fears to pierce my faith. Continue to comfort me this day while the storms surround me. Protect me and my family in this battle. Keep us safe from harm's way.
