Prayer Starter - Saturday, January 3, 2026 A Saturday Prayer to Share with the Family


Good Saturday morning.   

Each new day is an opportunity to walk closer with Him, to trust Him more deeply, and to live with renewed purpose. The turning of the calendar does not guarantee change, but inviting God into our days does.  We invite God into our lives when we build a relationship with Him through prayer.

As we step into 2026, we place our hopes and uncertainties into God’s hands. Today, let this Saturday be a moment of quiet reflection and prayer, asking God to guide our steps and shape our hearts for the year ahead.

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” – Proverbs 16:3

Dear God, thank You for bringing us into a new year. Please guide me.  Please guide our family, help us love one another, and show us how to follow You each day. 

Forgive me for my sins. 

Bless our home, our decisions, and all that lies ahead. We trust You with our future.

Continue your personal prayer.

Bless my friends. Bless those that pray each day to You. May they find peace in Your Spirit.

Through the power of Jesus. Amen.

Today's Prayer Starter Good morning! As we begin this five day journey of praying specifically to build our relationship with God, let's start with a prayer of adoration. In Psalm 8 , David prays a prayer of adoration.  "O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory above the heavens. Merry Christmas.  Good morning, friend: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us ). — Matthew 1:23 From the very beginning, God’s desire has been to dwell with His people. The promise of Emmanuel - God with us  — is the fulfillment of that longing. In Jesus Christ, God did not remain distant or unreachable. He stepped into our world, our struggles, and our suffering. Emmanuel reminds us that God is present in every season of life. When we feel alone, He is with us. When we walk through uncertainty, He walks beside us. Jesus experienced human weakness, sorrow, and temptation, yet without sin, so that we could know God not just as Creator, but as Companion and Savior. Prayer Starter - Thursday, June 26, 2025 Pray for a Helicopter

Good Morning, I hope you won't be offended, but I want to share an old joke with you that drives home an important point regarding what the Bible tells us about prayer and trusting in God. A religious man was trapped on the roof of his house during a bad flood. He prayed to God to save him. Before the waters were too high, a neighbor drove by and offered to take him in his truck before the water rose. He declined the offer and said "God will save me."  As the water rose, vehicles could no longer drive by and a Fire & Rescue crew came by in a boat. Again, an offer for rescue and again, the religious man said, he would wait upon the Lord.  Finally the water is destroying the house and it is near the lower levels of the roof. Another rescue attempt this time by helicopter, offers to whisk him away to safely and he declines, relying on God to save him, only to die in the great storm.
