Prayer Starter - Thursday, January 1, 2026 - A Prayer for Commitment


“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus.” — Colossians 3:17

Happy New Year!

As this new year begins, commitment calls us beyond good intentions and into faithful living. This is not merely about resolutions or plans, but about choosing each day to place Christ at the center of our lives. When we commit our year to God, our words carry His truth, our actions reflect His love, and our relationships become places where His grace is made visible.

Living for God’s glory means inviting Him into the ordinary moments as well as the significant ones. As the year unfolds, may we walk with purpose, humility, and obedience—trusting that God will use our faithfulness for His greater work.


Lord, I commit this year to You. Guide my words, my actions, and my choices. May my life reflect Your love, truth, and grace in all I do.

Continue your personal prayer for commitment. (It is hard, but ask God to help you).

Heavenly Lord, I praise Your Name for all You do for me. Help me to be committed to You as You are committed to me.

In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

Merry Christmas.  Good morning, friend: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us ). — Matthew 1:23 From the very beginning, God’s desire has been to dwell with His people. The promise of Emmanuel - God with us  — is the fulfillment of that longing. In Jesus Christ, God did not remain distant or unreachable. He stepped into our world, our struggles, and our suffering. Emmanuel reminds us that God is present in every season of life. When we feel alone, He is with us. When we walk through uncertainty, He walks beside us. Jesus experienced human weakness, sorrow, and temptation, yet without sin, so that we could know God not just as Creator, but as Companion and Savior. Prayer Starter - Thursday, June 26, 2025 Pray for a Helicopter

Good Morning, I hope you won't be offended, but I want to share an old joke with you that drives home an important point regarding what the Bible tells us about prayer and trusting in God. A religious man was trapped on the roof of his house during a bad flood. He prayed to God to save him. Before the waters were too high, a neighbor drove by and offered to take him in his truck before the water rose. He declined the offer and said "God will save me."  As the water rose, vehicles could no longer drive by and a Fire & Rescue crew came by in a boat. Again, an offer for rescue and again, the religious man said, he would wait upon the Lord.  Finally the water is destroying the house and it is near the lower levels of the roof. Another rescue attempt this time by helicopter, offers to whisk him away to safely and he declines, relying on God to save him, only to die in the great storm.
