Prayer Starter - Thursday, January 22, 2026 Growing in God's Spirit


Good Morning -

Jesus never asked us to walk this journey of faith alone. He promised the gift of the Holy Spirit -- our Helper, Guide, and Protector in every season of life. When we pray for God’s Spirit to grow us, we are inviting Him to shape our hearts, strengthen our faith, and lead our steps according to His will.

Scripture reminds us, “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth” (John 16:13). The Spirit gently teaches us what is right, warns us when we drift, and gives us courage to follow Jesus more closely.

As we seek His protection, we trust the promise, “The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore” (Psalm 121:8). God’s Spirit surrounds us with peace, even in uncertain or challenging moments.

This morning pause and invite the Holy Spirit to work within you -- growing you in love, guarding your heart, and guiding your path. In His presence, we find strength to live faithfully and hope to walk confidently in God’s grace.


Holy Spirit, I welcome You into my heart today. Help me grow in faith, protect me from harm, and guide my steps so that my life reflects the love of Christ. 

Continue your prayer to God, reminding Him of your love for Him, your thankfulness for His forgivigness and for his plan to send the Spirit to guide you.

In the Name of Jesus, I pray.  Amen.

Merry Christmas.  Good morning, friend: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us ). — Matthew 1:23 From the very beginning, God’s desire has been to dwell with His people. The promise of Emmanuel - God with us  — is the fulfillment of that longing. In Jesus Christ, God did not remain distant or unreachable. He stepped into our world, our struggles, and our suffering.
