Prayer Starter.- Wednesday, January 7, 2026 Mid-Week Praise

It's the mddle  of the week and we are all trying to get back in the swing of things.

Yesterday I asked for prayers for some friends who were ill and for myself as I had some serious tests to check my heart.  Great news my heart is good. One of my friends has also been more upbeat because a friend of hers came and spent aome time with her.

Psalm 51:12.

Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me" (NIV).

What a gracious God we serve!  He not only saves us, but restores the joy that comes with knowing Him. When life feels heavy or our faith feels tired, God invites us to come back to Him and be renewed from the inside out.

As we think about prayer and growing closer to Jesus, this verse reminds us of an important truth: our prayers should be filled with thanksgiving and praise, not only requests. When we thank God for what He has already done our hearts are lifted, our spirits are strengthened, and our joy is renewed. Praise realigns us with God’s goodness and helps sustain us day by day.

Gracious God,
Thank You for the gift of salvation and the joy You restore within my heart. I praise You for Your mercy, Your faithfulness, and Your unfailing love.

Thank You for answering my prayers - prayers for health, prayers for successful service and prayers for others.  (Add your personal thoughts here - )  While I thank You for providing answers for my personal health I also praise and thank You for caring for me and my loved ones.

Help me approach You each day with a willing spirit. May my spirit choose gratitude, worship, and trust. May my prayers be filled with thanksgiving, and may my life reflect praise for all You do for us.

Through Jesus, I pray. Amen.
