Prayer Starter - Monday, February 2, 2026 Psalm 8 How Majestic is His Name!

             

        


Lord, our Lord,

    how majestic is your name in all the earth!

You have set your glory
    in the heavens.
2 Through the praise of children and infants
    you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
    to silence the foe and the avenger.
3 When I consider your heavens,
    the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
    which you have set in place,
4 what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
    human beings that you care for them?

5 You have made them a little lower than the angels
    and crowned them with glory and honor.
6 You made them rulers over the works of your hands;
    you put everything under their feet:
7 all flocks and herds,
    and the animals of the wild,
8 the birds in the sky,
    and the fish in the sea,
    all that swim the paths of the seas.

9 Lord, our Lord,
    how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Gracious Father,
As we look back on the years You have faithfully carried us, we stand in quiet awe of Your greatness and mercy. From the works of Your hands in the heavens to the gentle ways You have guided our own steps, we praise You for every season of life You have given. 

We often forget to praise You. We often fail to thank You for the many blessings You provide us. This morning, I want to stop and thank You and praise You for all do for me.

Thank You for the privilege of serving You through the years and for the honor of still bearing Your light today. Strengthen our hearts to finish this journey with humility, gratitude, and enduring hope.

Because of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Merry Christmas.  Good morning, friend: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us ). — Matthew 1:23 From the very beginning, God’s desire has been to dwell with His people. The promise of Emmanuel - God with us  — is the fulfillment of that longing. In Jesus Christ, God did not remain distant or unreachable. He stepped into our world, our struggles, and our suffering.
