Prayer Starter - Sunday, February 8, 2026 Psalm 16

 


Psalm 16

Keep me safe, my God,

    for in you I take refuge.


I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;

    apart from you I have no good thing.”

Lord, You are my refuge and my safe place.

I place my life in Your hands today and choose to trust You with all that I am.

Remind me that every good thing I have comes from You.

Keep my heart from chasing after things that cannot satisfy, and draw me closer to You instead.

Set my path before me and guide my steps with Your wisdom.

Fill me with the joy that comes from Your presence and the peace that comes from knowing You are near.

Help me rest in the confidence that You hold my future and will not abandon me.

You are my portion and my hope, today and always.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

In a world filled with uncertainty, God offers His children the peace of knowing that our salvation, hope, and future rest securely in Him—not in our own strength or performance. “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” — 1 John 5:13 God’s assurance reminds us that we belong to Him. When doubts arise or fears whisper that we are not enough, His Word speaks truth: we are held by His grace. Merry Christmas.  Good morning, friend: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us ). — Matthew 1:23 From the very beginning, God’s desire has been to dwell with His people. The promise of Emmanuel - God with us  — is the fulfillment of that longing. In Jesus Christ, God did not remain distant or unreachable. He stepped into our world, our struggles, and our suffering. Emmanuel reminds us that God is present in every season of life. When we feel alone, He is with us. When we walk through uncertainty, He walks beside us. Jesus experienced human weakness, sorrow, and temptation, yet without sin, so that we could know God not just as Creator, but as Companion and Savior.
