Today Read Psalm 9 and 10. Link to 9 Link to 10
These two psalms form a single prayer of praise and trust in God’s justice. Psalm 9 begins with thanksgiving, celebrating the Lord as a righteous Judge who defends the oppressed, humbles the wicked, and reigns forever. It reminds us that God is a refuge for those who seek Him in times of trouble.
Psalm 10 voices a heartfelt cry, asking why God seems distant while the arrogant and violent prosper. Yet it ends in quiet confidence: God sees every injustice, hears the prayers of the humble, and will act to protect the vulnerable and bring lasting justice to the earth.
Together, these poems may have been written as a Hebrew acrostic, following the pattern of the alphabet to reflect that God’s justice and faithfulness cover every part of life—from beginning to end.
Righteous Father,
We praise You for being our refuge and our righteous Judge, the One who sees the brokenhearted and defends the humble. When the world feels unjust and the voices of the proud seem loud, help us remember that You reign forever. Give us patient hearts to trust Your timing, courageous faith to stand for what is right, and humble spirits to seek You in every season.
Thank You for being our God and allowing us - even encouraging us - to pray to You.

Hear our cries, shelter the vulnerable, and let Your justice and mercy be known in our lives and in our world.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Lord, Lead me to one soul today.
