Prayer Starter - Sunday, March 1, 2026 Psalm 62-63 "Rest"

Psalms 62 and 63 teach us two beautiful rhythms of faith: quiet rest and deep longing. Together, they show us what it means to trust God both in stillness and in pursuit.

Psalm 62 calls us to silence before the Lord:

“Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from Him.”

In a world filled with noise, opinions, and constant activity, this psalm invites us to slow down. It reminds us that security is not found in people, power, or possessions. Those things shift. God does not. He is our rock, our fortress, and our salvation. When we stop striving and place our full weight on Him, our souls find steadiness again.

Psalm 63 adds another layer - hunger for God’s presence. This psalm reminds us that the deepest satisfaction is found not in circumstances improving, but in drawing near to the

If your heart feels restless today, pause and be still. If it feels empty, lean in and seek Him. God is both your place of rest and the One who fills your soul.

Lord, help my soul find rest in You alone. When I feel restless or dry, stir in me a deeper hunger for Your presence. Be my rock, my refuge, and my greatest joy.

This Sunday morning help me to rest. Help me to drop my stresses, calm my spirit, and draw me closer to You.

In Jesus Name,  Amen.
