Prayer Starter - Tuesday, March 10, 2026 Praise to God, the Righteous Judge ps. 75 and 76
We give thanks to you, O God;
we give thanks, for your name is near.
We recount your wondrous deeds. (Ps 75:1)
But you, you are to be feared!
Who can stand before you
when once your anger is roused?
8 From the heavens you uttered judgment;
the earth feared and was still,
9 when God arose to establish judgment,
to save all the humble of the earth (Ps. 76:7-9)
God is the righteous judge. While human power rises and falls, God alone determines what is right and just. Psalm 75 declares that God will humble the proud and lift up those who trust in Him, showing that justice ultimately comes from His hand, not from human strength or influence. Psalm 76 celebrates God's power to defend His people and bring peace by stopping the plans of the wicked. Together these psalms reassure us that even when the world seems unfair or chaotic, God remains in control, and His perfect justice will prevail.
Holy Father, thank You for being in control even when the world seems out of control. Thank You for lifting us up when we trust You and putting down the evil ones.
Praise Your Name because You are the righteous God over all!
In the Name of Jesus, I pray. AMEN.
