Good Morning, Prayer Warrior -

The next 16 Psalms (Book 4) focus on God Reigns Forever.

Today's Psalm (90)  is a prayer of Moses, telling us life is short, but God is forever.

Lord, you have been our dwelling place
    throughout all generations.
2 
Before the mountains were born
    or you brought forth the whole world,
    from everlasting to everlasting you are God. (vs 1 - 2)

Our days may come to seventy years,
    or eighty, if our strength endures;
yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow,
    for they quickly pass, and we fly away.
11 
If only we knew the power of your anger!
    Your wrath is as great as the fear that is your due.
12 
Teach us to number our days,
    that we may gain a heart of wisdom. (vs 10 - 12)

Lord, You have been my dwelling place through every season of life. Teach me to number my days and use my time wisely. Help me remember how brief life is and how much I need You. Establish the work of my hands and guide my steps so that my life reflects Your purpose and Your glory.

Merry Christmas.  Good morning, friend: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us ). — Matthew 1:23 From the very beginning, God’s desire has been to dwell with His people. The promise of Emmanuel - God with us  — is the fulfillment of that longing. In Jesus Christ, God did not remain distant or unreachable. He stepped into our world, our struggles, and our suffering. Emmanuel reminds us that God is present in every season of life. When we feel alone, He is with us. When we walk through uncertainty, He walks beside us.
