Wednesday, April 1, 2026, Psalm 111 & 112 Light after Darkness

Today's Psalms 111 and 112  remind us who God is and what His work produces in His people.

Psalm 111 celebrates the greatness of God’s works: “He has caused His wonders to be remembered… He is gracious and compassionate” (v. 4). The resurrection of Jesus is the greatest of those wonders. It is the clearest display that God is faithful, powerful, and full of mercy.

Psalm 112 then shows the result of trusting in God. The one who fears the Lord is steady, generous, and unafraid: “Even in darkness light dawns for the upright” (v. 4). That light ultimately points to the empty tomb. Because Jesus rose, darkness does not win. Fear does not have the final word.

The resurrection is not just something we celebrate, but it is something we live. We reflect God’s light when we trust Him and walk in righteousness.  The resurrection of Jesus teaches us that we may live with quiet confidence, even when life feels uncertain.

Lord, thank You for Your wonderful works, especially the resurrection of Jesus. Help me to walk in Your light, to trust You in every season, and to live with courage and compassion.

Let my life reflect the hope You have given me. Through the King of Light, I pray, Amen.
