Wednesday, April 22, 2026 Psalms 144-145 Praise the Lord for His Care and Power


Good Morning,

Let's read Psalm 144 - 145. Click the link for the entire passage. Here are the first few verses.

Praise be to the Lord my Rock,
    who trains my hands for war,
    my fingers for battle.
2 He is my loving God and my fortress,
    my stronghold and my deliverer,
my shield, in whom I take refuge,
    who subdues peoples under me.

3 Lord, what are human beings that you care for them,
    mere mortals that you think of them?
4 They are like a breath;
    their days are like a fleeting shadow.


Here is our prayer this morning. Join me.


Lord,


You have been my strength through every season of life.
From my younger days until now, Your hand has guided me,  and I thank You for Your faithfulness.

Be my steady rock in these days.
Give me peace in my heart and strength for each step ahead.  Help me rest in knowing that my times are in Your hands.

Fill my mouth with praise, that I may speak of Your goodness to those around me and leave a testimony of Your love for the next generation.

You are gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.
I trust You, Lord, now and always.

Because of my Savior, Jesus, I can pray. Amen.

Merry Christmas.  Good morning, friend: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us ). — Matthew 1:23 From the very beginning, God’s desire has been to dwell with His people. The promise of Emmanuel - God with us  — is the fulfillment of that longing. In Jesus Christ, God did not remain distant or unreachable. He stepped into our world, our struggles, and our suffering.
