Saturday, May 2, 2026 Proverbs 6 "Wisdom in Everyday Choices!"
Proverbs 6 brings wisdom down to everyday life. It discusses our decisions, our habits, and our character. It warns against careless commitments, laziness, dishonesty, and actions that harm others. These aren’t just small issues - they shape the direction of our lives.
One of the most practical pictures is the ant - quietly working, preparing, and staying disciplined without being told. Wisdom often looks like consistency in the small things: doing what is right when no one is watching.
The chapter also reminds us that God cares deeply about our character. Pride, lying, stirring conflict -these things damage relationships and distance us from His heart. But a life built on wisdom reflects integrity, diligence, and peace.
God’s guidance isn’t complicated, but it does require attention and obedience in the daily choices we make.
Go to the ant, O sluggard;
consider her ways, and be wise.
7 Without having any chief,
officer, or ruler,
8 she prepares her bread in summer
and gathers her food in harvest.
9 How long will you lie there, O sluggard?
When will you arise from your sleep? (Proverbs 6:6-9)
My son, keep your father's commandment,
and forsake not your mother's teaching. (verse 20)
Let's Pray:
Lord,
Teach me to live with wisdom in the small, everyday moments. Help me to be disciplined, responsible, and honest in all I do. Guard my heart from pride and my words from causing harm.
Give me the strength to avoid shortcuts and the patience to do what is right, even when it’s not easy. Shape my character so that my life reflects Your truth and brings peace to those around me.
Because of our Jesus, Amen.

Lord, Lead me to one soul today.
