Sunday, April 19,2026 Psalms 137-139. Known and Guided
The Lord will vindicate me;
your love, Lord, endures forever—do not abandon the works of your hands. Psalm 138:8
Good morning, Friend,
Psalm 137 is a song of sorrow. 138 is a song of thanksgiving and Psalm 139 is a song of security. Today's prayer is based on the psalmist words from 138 and 139. Pray with me:
Lord, I come before You with a grateful heart.
Even in the middle of a busy and uncertain life, I choose to thank You; for Your faithfulness, for hearing me when I call, and for never giving up on me. You have strengthened me more times than I can count.
You know me completely.
You know my thoughts before I speak, my struggles before I admit them, and my fears before I face them. There is nowhere I can go where You are not already there. That truth humbles me - yet it also comforts me.
Search me, God, and show me what needs to change.
Point out anything in me that pulls me away from You - any pride, bitterness, or hidden sin. Give me the courage to face it and the grace to grow beyond it.
Lead me in Your way - steady and always faithful.
When I feel overwhelmed, remind me that Your hand is upon me. When I feel alone, remind me that You are near. When I feel unsure, remind me that You are still guiding my steps.
Thank You for knowing me fully and loving me completely.
I trust You with my life today. Because of Jesus,
Amen.
