Thursday, April 23, 2026 Psalm 146-147

Good Thursday Morning.

Let's read Psalm 146-147 this morning.

Psalms 146–147 call us to lift our eyes and place our trust where it truly belongs -  not in people or circumstances, but in God alone. Human strength fades, plans change, and life can feel uncertain. But the Lord remains faithful.

In Psalm 147, the writer continues, reminding us that this powerful God is also deeply personal. Remember we started this prayer blog, Prayer Starters, to help each of us to pray and build a personal relationship with God. He wants to have a relationship with Him.

He heals the brokenhearted, binds up wounds, and cares for both creation and His people. The same God who counts the stars knows your needs.

When life feels heavy, these psalms invite us to praise - not because everything is easy, but because God is steady. Praise shifts our focus from what is failing to the One who never does.

Today, trust Him. He sees, He cares, and He will sustain you.  Let's pray -

Lord, I choose to place my trust in You today.
When my heart feels heavy or my mind feels lost, remind me that You are my help and my hope.

Thank You for seeing me, for caring for my needs, and for healing what is broken within me.

Help me lift my eyes from my circumstances and fix them on Your faithfulness.

Today, I will praise You!  I don't sing Your praise because of what You do, but for who You are.  Thank You, for being my Lord!

Continue your personal prayer.

Thank You for Jesus - In His Name, Amen

Lord, Lead me to one soul today.
