Wednesday, April 8, 2026 Psalm 119:25-48 Prayers for Strength


Heavenly Father, when my heart feels weary and close to the dust, lift me up through Your Word.
Teach me Your ways and give me understanding so I can walk in truth.
Turn my heart away from distractions and selfish desires,
and lead me into a life that honors You.

Strengthen me when I feel weak,
and remind me of Your promises when doubt creeps in.
Help me to love Your Word, live it out daily,
and speak it boldly without fear.

Give me joy in following You
and freedom in walking in Your truth.

Amen.

Psalm 119:25–48 (Paraphrase)   NIV    ESV     KJV

I feel worn down and close to the dust—
give me life again through Your Word.

I’ve poured out my heart to You, and You have answered me;
now teach me Your ways more deeply.
Help me understand Your truth
so I can reflect on all You have done.

My soul is heavy with sorrow—
strengthen me through Your promises.
Keep me away from false paths
and guide me in Your truth.

I have chosen to follow what is right;
I am committed to Your Word.
I hold tightly to Your instructions—
don’t let me be put to shame.

I will run in the path You set before me
because You have opened my heart to understand.

Teach me, Lord, how to live according to Your ways,
and I will stay faithful to the end.
Give me understanding so I can obey You fully,
with all my heart.

Lead me in the path of Your commands,
because that is where I find joy.
Turn my heart toward Your truth
and away from selfish desires.
Keep my eyes from worthless things
and give me life in Your ways.

Keep Your promises to me, Your servant,
so that I may live in reverence of You.
Take away the shame I fear,
because Your judgments are good.

I long to follow Your ways—
renew my life through Your righteousness.

Let Your unfailing love come to me, Lord,
and rescue me as You have promised.
Then I will have an answer for those who question me,
because I trust in Your Word.

Never take Your truth from my mouth,
for my hope is in Your promises.
I will always obey Your Word,
forever and ever.

I will walk in freedom
because I seek to follow Your instructions.
I will speak of Your truth before others without fear,
even before kings.

Your commands bring me joy—
I truly love them.
I lift my hands in praise to Your Word
and meditate on Your ways.

Lord, Lead me to one soul today.
