Saturday, May 23, 2026 Proverbs 30:18–33 Humilty & Self-Control

Proverbs 30:18–33 reminds us that God’s world is filled with both mystery and wisdom. Agur looks at creation: the eagle soaring, the snake moving across a rock, ships crossing the sea, and stands in awe of things too wonderful to fully understand. Yet in the middle of that beauty, he also warns about pride, selfishness, immorality, and stirring up conflict.

The proverb teaches that wisdom is often found in small and humble places. Ants prepare ahead, locusts work together, and tiny creatures survive because they live wisely within God’s design. In the same way, believers are called to walk humbly, avoid foolish pride, and pursue peace instead of conflict.

True strength is not loud arrogance or self-promotion. It is quiet wisdom, self-control, and a life that honors God in both words and actions.

Lord, teach me to live with humility and wisdom. Help me learn from the order of Your creation and guard my heart from pride, anger, and selfish ambition. Give me self-control in my words and peace in my relationships so my life may reflect Your wisdom each day.

Thank You for my church family; for church leadership; for those that are like a brother and sister to me because we serve You.  Lord, guide my spirit and help me to be a person that shows my love to You by communicating - praying - to You daily! Yea, even more than once a day. Thank You for the avenue of prayer. In the Name of the Christ, I pray, Amen.

Lord, Lead me to one soul today.
