Saturday, May 30, 2026 Prayers for Loved Ones and Friends



Proverbs 18:24

“There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”

Heavenly Father,

I thank You for the precious gift of my family and friends — each one a blessing I do not take for granted. This morning, I lift them up to You, trusting that You know their names, their needs, and the silent burdens they carry that no one else can see.  Remember to Name them. Let God know you are serious and tell Him who these people are that you love so much.

Cover them with Your mercy. Grant rest to their weary minds and strength to their tired hearts. Where there is worry, bring peace. Where there is sadness, bring joy, for joy surpasses all understanding and cannot be shaken by circumstance.

Guide their steps today. Guard their hearts against fear and doubt. And in the quiet moments of their day, let them feel the warmth of Your presence, reminding them they are never alone.  Thank You, Lord, for these special people.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

The promise of Emmanuel - God with us  — is the fulfillment of that longing. In Jesus Christ, God did not remain distant or unreachable. He stepped into our world, our struggles, and our suffering.
