Saturday, May 9, 2026 Praying with the Proverbs: Chapter 15-16

 Good Saturday morning.  I hope you will take the time to read Gods Word today.  Proverbs 15-16.  Then take this prayer based on these proverbs and customize it with your feelings, thoughts, and hopes.

Better a little with the fear of the Lord

    than great wealth with turmoil.  (15:16).

Father God,

Thank You for Your scripture and the ability to learn from You. Teach me to speak with gentleness and grace, knowing that a soft answer can calm anger and bring peace. Guard my words today, Lord, so that my mouth reflects kindness, truth, and wisdom rather than pride or frustration.

Help me to walk humbly before You. I know that my plans are limited, but Your purposes stand forever. Direct my steps and guide my decisions. When I am tempted to rely on my own understanding, remind me to trust You with all my heart.

Lord, create in me a peaceful spirit that honors You. Remove bitterness, pride, and selfish ambition from my life. Fill me instead with joy, patience, and integrity. Help me to seek wisdom more than riches and favor obedience more than success.

May my heart delight in You today, and may every path I take bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name,  Amen.

Merry Christmas.  Good morning, friend: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us ). — Matthew 1:23 From the very beginning, God’s desire has been to dwell with His people. The promise of Emmanuel - God with us  — is the fulfillment of that longing. In Jesus Christ, God did not remain distant or unreachable. He stepped into our world, our struggles, and our suffering.
