Thursday, May 14, 2026 Proverbs 22:1-16 Praying for a Good Name

A good name is not built through popularity, success, or wealth alone. Proverbs 22 reminds us that a life marked by honesty, humility, kindness, and reverence for God is far more valuable than riches. Our reputation is shaped by the daily choices we make, the words we speak, and the way we treat others.

In a world that often chases recognition and approval, God calls us to pursue character instead. A good name is earned through integrity when no one is watching and faithfulness when life becomes difficult. These verses also remind us that humility and the fear of the Lord bring lasting reward and peace.

Today, let us pray that our lives would reflect the heart of Christ so clearly that others see His goodness through us.

Dear God,

I want to be Your servant. I want to learn to be confident in my faith, but humble in my life.   May my life reflect the spirit of Jesus.  May others see the Him in me - not foe my glory but for Your praise.

Continue your personal prayer.

In theName of Your Son, Amen.
