Monday, July 20, 2026 A Prayer for the Children of Jóvenes en Camino

"A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families."

Good Morning Friends:

Yesterday during Bible Class, I had a great opportunity to hear about a very special place in Honduras.  The ministry of Jóvenes en Camino provides a Christ-centered home for boys in Honduras who have experienced abuse, abandonment, or extreme poverty. Their mission is to meet the children's physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs while preparing them to become faithful, productive men who will serve their communities.

Let's pray for these and other missionaries and children's homes around the world.

Heavenly Father,

We thank You for the ministries that serve children. I am especially mindful of Jóvenes en Camino and for the loving refuge it provides to children who have known hardship, loss, and uncertainty. Thank You for being a Father to the fatherless and a Defender of those who are vulnerable.

Lord, surround each child with Your love. Heal the wounds that cannot be seen, replace fear with peace, and fill their hearts with hope for the future. Help them to grow in wisdom, faith, and character so they may become godly men who honor You and serve others with compassion.

We pray for the house parents, teachers, counselors, medical staff, and every volunteer who faithfully cares for these boys. Grant them patience, strength, wisdom, and joyful hearts as they reflect the love of Christ each day.

Please continue to provide for every need of these ministries around the world; including food, education, medical care, safe housing, and the financial resources needed to carry out its mission. Raise up generous supporters and faithful partners who will encourage this work for years to come.

May Your name be glorified through every life transformed. Let these young men become shining lights in Honduras, sharing the hope of Jesus wherever You lead them.

In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we pray.
