Monday, July 6, 2026. Aligning my plans with God.

What are your plans? What are God's plans? Are you praying and asking Him to guide you so the two align?

1 Peter 2:9 — But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Holy Father, I carry dreams, ambitions, and plans of my own. Yet the longer I walk with Christ, the more I recognize how much I need to surrender those plans to You — to ask that mine be reshaped into Yours. When I sing "Make Me a Servant," I'm reminded that true servanthood means my will has to bend toward Yours, not the other way around.

Lord, send Your angels to strengthen me — to give me a heart that longs to reflect You, and to guide my steps so that I serve the way Jesus served: humbly, faithfully, without seeking my own glory.

Lord, forgive me for clinging to control, for wanting my hands on the wheel. Teach me to loosen my grip and let Your Spirit lead.

Continue your personal prayer.

Search my heart, Lord, and show me where pride still masquerades as ambition, where fear still disguises itself as planning. I don't want a faith that only asks for Your blessing on decisions I've already made — I want a faith that asks first, and moves second.

Give me patience when Your timing isn't mine, and courage when Your calling isn't comfortable. Let obedience matter more to me than outcome, and let Your glory matter more to me than my own name being known.

Where I've built plans on my own understanding, break them gently and rebuild them on Yours. Where I've been afraid to dream too small, remind me that faithfulness in small things is never small in Your eyes.

I trust that You see further than I do, and that Your plans for me are rooted in love, not limitation. So today, I lay my agenda at Your feet — not once, but daily — and ask for the grace to keep laying it down again tomorrow.

In Jesus' name, Amen.
