Sunday, August 9, 2026 Pray for a Quiet Heart

 


Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the gift of this Lord's Day. 

As I gather with Your people, prepare my heart to worship You in spirit and in truth. Quiet every distraction. Open my ears to Your Word. Lord fill me with a grateful heart.

Help me encourage others. Guide my spirit to receive Your instruction with humility, and leave the assemble ready to serve You throughout the week. 

Add your personal prayer thoughts.

May everything we say and do today bring honor and glory to Your name. 

Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.  Col. 3:17

Merry Christmas.  Good morning, friend: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us ). — Matthew 1:23 From the very beginning, God’s desire has been to dwell with His people.
