Prayer Starter - Saturday, September 13, 2025 "Just a little Talk with Jesus"

Image
We all want to be be people that have a relationship with God.  That is one of the reasons we started "Prayer Starters," so we could be gently encouraged (reminded) to start our day (or finish - or both) with a conversation with our Maker. " Pray without ceasing ." – 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Prayer is not meant to be a once-a-day ritual or a formal duty—it’s meant to be a conversation with the One who loves us most. Just as we talk to our closest friends throughout the day, God invites us to speak with Him about everything: our joys, our struggles, our hopes, and even our fears. When we pause to talk to God, we are reminded that we’re not walking through life alone. Every small conversation with Him draws us closer to His heart. Prayer doesn’t have to be formal—sometimes it’s as simple as saying, “Lord, I need You,” or “Thank You, Jesus.” Make time to speak with God as you go about your day. Invite Your Lord,  into your moments, big and small, and let your heart gro...

Prayer Starter - Friday, September 12, 2025 - Pray for Farmers and Ranchers

Image
Hello: Last week my friend and minister asked for us to pray for those in the agricultural field. It took me no time, to reflect and say, "Amen!" to that. Love our farmers and ranchers. The Bible says, " The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops."  2Timothy 2:6 The Psalmist wrote, " You cause the grass to grow for the livestock and plants for man to cultivate, that he may bring forth food from the earth." Psalm 104:14 Farming and ranching are more than just jobs—they are callings. They require grit, patience, and faith. Each seed planted and each calf born is an act of trust, because farmers and ranchers depend on God to provide rain, sun, and growth. In many ways, the work of the farmer mirrors God’s work in our lives. Just as they prepare the soil, God prepares our hearts. Just as they patiently wait for harvest, God patiently waits for us to grow in faith. And just as farmers care for their animals, the Lord is our Good ...

Prayer Starter - Thursday, September 11, 2025. Praising God in Sickness

Image
Good morning, Illness has a way of slowing us down and reminding us that we are not in control. Yet even in sickness, God is still worthy of our praise. Scripture tells us, “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” (Psalm 34:1) Praising God in our weakness lifts our focus from pain to His presence. It reminds us that He is near, He is faithful, and He is our ultimate healer. Our circumstances may change, but God’s goodness does not. When we choose to worship Him in the middle of discomfort, we find peace for our soul and strength for our spirit. Heavenly Father, Even in this sickness, I choose to praise You. You are good, You are faithful, and You hold my life in Your hands. When I feel weak, be my strength. When I am discouraged, fill me with Your peace. Help me use this time to draw closer to You and trust You more deeply. May my heart stay grateful, and my lips continue to bless Your name — for You are worthy, in health and in sickness. Beca...

Prayer Starter - Wednesday, September 10, 2025 "Made for Praise 3"

Waiting on God in Prayer Habakkuk 2:3 – “Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.” As the years pass, we see how often God’s answers take time. Habakkuk reminds us that waiting is not a sign of God’s absence but of His perfect timing. Our prayers are not forgotten; they are held in the hands of a faithful God. Lord, help me wait with faith, trusting that Your answers come right on time. May my spirit be lifted up by Your Holy Spirit and may I never forget You, oh God.  Guide me, guard me and use me to Your Service. In Jesus Name, Amen. Prayer Starter - Monday, September 8, 2025 Made for Praise

Image
Good Monday Morning, The word, "Praise" is used by Paul four times in the first chapter of Ephesians . Here is a sample of chapter one and Paul reminding us that we were built to praise and to praise God. 3  Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,  who has blessed us in the heavenly realms  with every spiritual blessing in Christ.   6  to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.   12  ...we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. 13  And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,   14  who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. God designed us to "Praise!" However, we often praise ...

Prayer Starter - Sunday, September 7, 2025 "The Lord is my strength."

Image
God , the Lord, is my strength;      he makes my feet like the deer's;      he makes me tread on my high places.   Habakkuk 3:19 This verse encourages us to rely on God's strength rather than our own. When we lean on Him, we can overcome obstacles and rise above challenges with grace and agility.   Dear God, You are my strength in all I do. Thank You for helping me overcome my obstacles. Thank You for helping me rise above the challenges.  Help me to continue to walk in grace. When I fail, lift me up. May Your Spirit guide me each day as I strive to serve You. Continue your prayers - Oh, Lord, bless my worship today. May all the saints rejoice in Your Name and Call upon You.   In the Name of Jesus, Amen. Blessed be the  Lord !      For he has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy. 7  The  Lord  is my strength and my shield;      in him my ...
