Thursday, July 9, 2026 "Thursday Prayer of Thanksgiving"

Image
Good morning, Prayer Warrior & Friend - Hope you have a super wonderful day. Pray with me... Thank You for the gift of this new day. Your mercies are new every morning, and Your faithfulness never fails. As I begin today, help me to walk closely with You in every decision, every conversation, and every challenge. Give me wisdom to recognize the opportunities You place before me, courage to do what is right, and a heart that reflects the love of Christ to everyone I meet. Guard my thoughts from worry, my words from carelessness, and my actions from anything that would dishonor You. O' Lord, Strengthen those who are weary, comfort those who are hurting, and draw those who are far from You into Your loving presence. Use me as an instrument of Your peace and encouragement today.   May everything I do bring glory to Your name, and may I finish this day knowing I have walked faithfully with You. In Jesus' name, Amen. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on you...

Wednesday, July 8, 2026 Mid Week Prayer

Image
It's the middle of the week, and we're all trying to get back into the swing of things.. Psalm 51:12 "Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me" (NIV). What a gracious God we serve! He not only saves us, but restores the joy that comes with knowing Him. When life feels heavy or our faith feels tired, God invites us to come back to Him and be renewed from the inside out. As we think about prayer and growing closer to Jesus, this verse reminds us of an important truth: our prayers should be filled with thanksgiving and praise, not only requests. When we thank God for what He has already done, our hearts are lifted, our spirits are strengthened, and our joy is renewed. Praise realigns us with God's goodness and helps sustain us day by day. Gracious God, Thank You for the gift of salvation, even on the days when I don't feel its joy as strongly as I once did. I praise You for Your mercy, Your faithfulness, and Yo...

Tuesday, July 7, 2026 Praying for others

Image
Heavenly Father- Today we lift up those who are weighed down by depression. When hope feels distant and every day seems overwhelming, remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and that they are never alone. Surround them with Your peace, comfort, and unfailing love. Give them the strength to take the next step, the courage to ask for help when they need it, and the assurance that brighter days can come. Use family, friends, and caring people to encourage and support them. May Your light shine into every dark place and fill their hearts with hope again. Pray for your specific friends in need. In the name of Jesus, Amen. If you have mental health challenges, please seek professional help. God works through others to heal each of us. Lord, Lead me to one soul today. Monday, July 6, 2026. Aligning my plans with God.

Image
What are your plans? What are God's plans? Are you praying and asking Him to guide you so the two align? 1 Peter 2:9 — But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Holy Father, I carry dreams, ambitions, and plans of my own. Yet the longer I walk with Christ, the more I recognize how much I need to surrender those plans to You — to ask that mine be reshaped into Yours. When I sing "Make Me a Servant," I'm reminded that true servanthood means my will has to bend toward Yours, not the other way around. Lord, send Your angels to strengthen me — to give me a heart that longs to reflect You, and to guide my steps so that I serve the way Jesus served: humbly, faithfully, without seeking my own glory. Lord, forgive me for clinging to control, for wanting my hands on the wheel. Teach me to loosen my grip and let Your Spirit lead. ...

Friday, July 3, 2026 A Prayer for My Friend

Image
Early this week, I wrote about praying scripture. My friend, Randall, prayed with Psalm 20 and 21.  After he shared with me, I went and read Psalm 20.  Yes, sir, that is a good one. I know I needed it, too. Here is my prayer response. May the Lord answer you when you are in distress;      may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. 2  May he send you help from the sanctuary      and grant you support from Zion. 3  May he remember all your sacrifices      and accept your burnt offerings. 4  May he give you the desire of your heart      and make all your plans succeed. 5  May we shout for joy over your victory      and lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all your requests. 6  Now this I know:      The Lord gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary      w...
