Prayer Starter - Tuesday, November 11, 2025 Thankful for our Veterans

Image
Veterans Day reminds us to stop and thank God for the brave men and women who have served our country. Many veterans chose to put others before themselves. They worked hard, faced danger, and made sacrifices so we could live in safety and freedom. The Bible teaches that showing love often means serving others. Jesus said, “ Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends ” ( John 15:13 ). When we think about veterans, we see an example of this kind of love in action. As we honor them, we should also turn our hearts to God with gratitude. He is the one who gives strength, courage, and protection. We can thank Him for guiding our veterans, for watching over them, and for blessing our nation through their service. God, thank You for our veterans. Thank You for their courage and for the sacrifices they made. Please bless them with strength, peace, and Your loving care. Help us always remember to be grateful.  Continue to pray your prayer this morning and...

Prayer Starter - Monday, November 10, 2025. Trusting God leads to Thanksgiving.

Image
Hannah’s prayer in 1 Samuel 2 is a strong example of thankful praise. For many years she could not have a child, and it caused her deep sadness. But God heard her prayers and gave her a son, Samuel. After this, Hannah prayed a joyful prayer to thank God: “ My heart rejoices in the Lord ” ( 1 Samuel 2:1 ). Hannah’s thankfulness was not just because she received what she wanted. She thanked God because He is strong, faithful, and always in control. Her prayer teaches us that real thanksgiving comes from trusting God, even when we do not understand everything. When God helps us, comforts us, or provides for us, we can respond like Hannah. We can thank Him not only for the blessings we see, but also for His love and His care for us. Lord, help me be thankful like Hannah. Teach me to trust You and to remember Your goodness every day.  Father God, help me to remember all the good You do for me.  As I continue to pray today help me to give You honor and praise for You are such a beau...

Prayer Starter - Sunday, November 9, 2025 "Thanksgiving Worship"

Image
Good Morning, “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.” — Psalm 100:4 (NIV) Psalm 100 is one of the most joyful passages in all of Scripture. It’s a call to worship that reminds us who God is — our Creator, Shepherd, and Savior — and who we are — His people, the sheep of His pasture. When the psalmist says,  “Enter His gates with thanksgiving,”  it paints the picture of people coming into the temple to worship God with glad hearts. Thanksgiving isn’t just a polite gesture; it’s the key that opens the gate to God’s presence. Gratitude shifts our focus from ourselves to God. It reminds us that every breath, every blessing, and every moment of grace comes from His hand. When we approach Him with thankful hearts, we come not as consumers of blessings, but as children who delight in the Giver. Thanksgiving also prepares our hearts for praise. When we remember all that God has done — His faithfulness in the past, H...

Prayer Starter - Saturday, November 8, 2025. SATURDAY PRAYER

Image
Saturday offers a pause—an opportunity to breathe, reflect, and receive fresh strength from God. The week may have brought challenges, but God provides rest that restores more deeply than sleep or quiet moments alone. Scripture reminds us: “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and trust shall be your strength” (Isaiah 30:15). Use today to return to Him. Lay down the worries you carried through the week. Let His presence refill what has been emptied. When you choose quietness and trust, God meets you with peace, clarity, and renewed purpose. Lord, thank You for the gift of rest. Help me slow down, listen, and lean on You today. Fill my heart with Your peace and renew my strength for the days ahead. Keep me mindful of Your presence and faithful to Your guidance. Because of Christ, Amen.

Prayer Starter - Friday, November 7, 2025 Prayer for a Friend

Good Morning, Prayer Warrior I hope you are having a wonderful week and enjoying the prayers of thanksgiving. Please continue to praise God and thank Him for all the blessings you have. We will continue next Monday with more prayers of thanksgiving, but today I want you to pray for a friend of mine.  He was just diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.  He is a long time educator who I have known for many years.  A true man of God who loves and trusts the Lord, even in times like this. Dear God, our Lord and Creator of all- This morning I lift up to you my friend and colleague. My prayer is that You comfort him and protect him from pain.  I pray You give him the health to remind the doctors they dont always know everything.  Bless him with the health to beat man's predictions and live beyond anyone's expectations. No matter what, Lord, may Your Spirit continue to fill him with your grace.  I pray for his wife and children- give them the strength to support him with t...

Prayer Starter - Thursday, November 6, 2026 "Do Not Worry - But be Thankful!"

Image
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” — Philippians 4:6–7 ( ESV ) Thanksgiving doesn’t ignore worry — it replaces it. When we choose to thank God even before we see the answer, peace enters our hearts.  Paul's message to us, is to trust God. Pray always and don't worry about the details. Allow God to care for us. Gratitude shifts our focus from what we fear to who God is: faithful, loving, and in control. Let's pray this morning and thank God fo all He has done for us. Let's thank God in our prayer today - praise Him for all He is doing for You! Father, thank You for Your peace is stronger than my fears.  Help me face today’s challenges with a thankful spirit, trusting that You are working all things for good.   Forgive me for my worries. Help me to trust You in all things. Help me to always present you with my thoughts of thankfulness daily. (This is a good time...

Prayer Starter - Wednesday, November 5, 2025 "Thankful in All Circumstances"

Image
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18  ( ESV ) True thankfulness isn’t based on how good life feels, but on how faithful God is. Gratitude in hard times becomes a declaration of trust — it says, “God, I still believe You are good.” Even when circumstances shift, His love, presence, and promises never do.  I once heard a sermon where the preacher told a story about a man who was struggling and had bad things happening to him - yet after each negative event, the man prayed to God and explained he was confused, maybe disappointed, but no matter what, he Thanked God for being with him - even in times that went against the man's wishes. Thanksgiving, then, is not an emotion but an act of faith. Lord, teach me to give thanks not only when life is easy but also when it’s hard. Let my gratitude become an anchor that keeps me steady in every season.  This morning I want to praise You, O, Lord, for be...
